Over 67,000 Power Stick Deodorants Recalled Nationwide Over Manufacturing Violations

More than 67,000 cases of Power Stick antiperspirant deodorants have been recalled from major retailers across the United States due to violations of federal manufacturing standards. The recall affects multiple varieties of the popular roll-on deodorant products sold at Walmart, Dollar Tree, and on Amazon.

The deodorants in question were manufactured by A.P. Deauville, a Pennsylvania-based company, and include specific batches of Power Stick for Her Roll-On Antiperspirant in the “Power Fresh” scent, Power Stick Invisible Protection Roll-On Antiperspirant in “Spring Fresh,” and Power Stick Original Nourishing Invisible Protection. The recall was officially initiated on July 10, as documented in an enforcement report by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The FDA cited “cGMP deviations” — or non-compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations — as the reason for the recall. These regulations are designed to ensure products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards appropriate for their intended use. The specific nature of the deviations has not been disclosed, but such issues can potentially compromise product safety or effectiveness.

The affected lot numbers span a wide range and were distributed nationwide. Among them are:

  • Power Stick for Her: Lot numbers including 032026B011, 032226B031, 051626C241, 061526C882, 071226D371, 071226D381, 082526E341, and 082826E402.

All affected products were manufactured at A.P. Deauville’s FDA-regulated facility in Easton, Pennsylvania, a city near the New Jersey border. In addition to deodorants, the company also produces a range of personal care items including shampoos, conditioners, body washes, and facial wipes.

Consumers who purchased any of the recalled products are advised to check the lot number printed on the packaging and discontinue use if it matches one of the affected codes. It is recommended to return the product to the place of purchase or dispose of it according to local regulations.
