Chabad on Campus International says nearly 2,000 students from more than 160 universities in six countries gathered in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, for the October 22-25 Pegisha weekend.

Students stayed with local host families and took part in a Friday night welcome with singing and dancing, dozens of talks and workshops, and a Saturday night Havdalah concert followed by a kumzitz.

The organization says Pegisha is its largest yearly event. It began in 1961 with 17 students.
