Rabbi Avi Schnall is a New Jersey State Assemblyman & Askan known for his advocacy on behalf of the Orthodox Jewish community and his efforts to bring Torah values into public service. As the former Director of Agudath Israel’s New Jersey office, he built strong ties with policymakers and worked to advance religious rights, education funding, and community welfare.

Originally from Brooklyn and a longtime Lakewood resident, Rabbi Schnall is recognized for uniting diverse groups around shared goals and offering practical, Torah-based solutions to modern challenges. Elected in 2023 as a Democrat representing New Jersey’s 30th District, he continues to focus on tuition relief, religious liberties, and strengthening families and communities across the state.
