Three of the Roshei Yeshiva of BMG, Rav Yeruchom Olshin Shlit”a, Rav Yisroel Newman Shlit”a and Rav Malkiel Kotler Shlit”a visited the Lakewood Police Department last night at approximately 1AM to voice concern over the recent arrest of R’ Binyomin Kubani, a local father and member of the yeshiva. As they exited a crowd was gathered outside to and began to recite Tehillim.

R’ Binyomin Kubani was taken into custody following an incident that occurred on Thursday. He remains held in the ocean county jail awaiting a judge, without having the opportunity to present evidence or speak with police in the presence of his attorney.

Yosef Jacobovitch, Binyomin Kubaini’s attorney states:

“I call on the authorities to thoroughly investigate this matter and take necessary steps to address any wrongdoing or systemic issues that may have contributed to this potential miscarriage of justice. It is essential to ensure that justice is served and that the constitutional rights of all individuals are protected.

I advised the Lakewood Police Department immediately that Binyomin would like to give a statement. Detective Charles Messer refused to take a statement from Binyomin, insisting “I will not let him muddy the water with his lies””

There will be an Atzeres Tefillah in BMG Bais Yitzchok at 1:15PM.

Massive Hafgana planned for 2PM at LPD Headquarters to protest the arrest of R Binyomin Kubani.
