Keren Olam HaTorah announced that several leading Gedolei Yisroel in Eretz Yisroel have canceled their planned trip to the United States next week, due to the current security situation in Eretz Yisroel. Among those who will no longer be traveling are Maran Gaon Yisroel Harav Dov Landau, Maran Harav Yaakov Hillel Shlit”a, Rosh HaYeshiva Harav Avraham Salim Shlit”a, Hatzadik Harav Shimon Galei Shlit”a, the Rachamstrivka Rebbe Shlit”a, and the Sanz Klausenberg Rebbe Shlit”a.
While the delegation from Eretz Yisroel will not be coming, the U.S. leg of Keren Olam HaTorah’s campaign will proceed with full force. Maran Rosh HaYeshiva Harav Moshe Hillel Hirsch Shlit”a and Maran Rosh HaYeshiva Harav Dovid Cohen Shlit”a have already arrived in America and will continue with the planned events and meetings as scheduled.
The next major gathering is set for Sunday, June 15, in Baltimore, where Harav Dovid Cohen Shlit”a is expected to address the community and reinforce the message conveyed by the Gedolim in Eretz Yisroel.
Keren Olam HaTorah assured the public that all other events remain on schedule unless future updates are issued. The organization stated it will continue to act in consultation with leading Gedolei Yisroel. The message was signed by members of the Keren Olam HaTorah board: Shimon Glick, Reuven Wolf, Ezra Erani, Yitzchok Rokowsky, and Boruch Jeremias.
