FBI Arrests Florida Man for Alleged Bomb Plot Targeting New York Stock Exchange

The FBI has arrested Harun Abdul-Malik Yener, a 30-year-old from Coral Springs, Florida, on charges of attempting to use explosives to target the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Court documents detail a chilling plot in which Yener allegedly planned to detonate an improvised explosive device outside the NYSE in the week leading up to Thanksgiving.

FBI agents received a tip about bomb-making schematics stored in an unlocked storage unit, which led to Yener’s arrest. The affidavit reveals Yener described his attack as having the destructive power of a “small nuke,” with the goal of killing everyone inside the building and causing widespread devastation. Authorities state Yener was motivated by a desire to create a “reset” of the U.S. government.
