El Al Airlines, along with its subsidiary Sun Dor, has suspended all scheduled flights through Monday, June 23, 2025, due to escalating security concerns. The move follows directives issued by government authorities as Israel continues to respond to the evolving national security situation.
In response, El Al is working in coordination with the Ministry of Transportation and other national security agencies to initiate rescue flights from several international locations. These special flights are being organized under a limited and staggered schedule and are aimed at bringing home stranded Israeli citizens whose original bookings have been canceled. Registration for these rescue flights has opened for affected El Al passengers, with the airline noting that the order of registration will not determine boarding priority.
Additionally, El Al has temporarily closed new bookings for all flights scheduled to depart through June 30, 2025. This pause is intended to allow the airline to prioritize support for current ticket holders whose travel plans have been disrupted.
Passengers holding tickets for canceled flights may request a credit voucher or a full refund, depending on the nature and date of their booking. Customers who purchased tickets on or before June 13, 2025, for flights departing up to June 30, are eligible for credit vouchers. Refunds are being offered for tickets purchased by June 13 for flights scheduled to depart by June 21. Individuals holding group or bonus tickets, or who booked through travel agents, are instructed to contact their original point of purchase for service.
