Hatzolah of Central Jersey will soon expand its life saving capabilities in Howell with the addition of a state-of-the-art ambulance — it first in the township – thanks to the efforts of Assemblyman Avi Schnall.
The Fiscal Year 2026 New Jersey state budget, signed into law on Monday, includes $400,000 specifically earmarked for the purchase of a new Hatzolah ambulance dedicated to serving Howell residents. The funding follows strong advocacy by Assemblyman Schnall, who has prioritized supporting emergency medical services in his 30th District.
“This is truly a game-changer for Howell,” said Meilech Esterzohn, CEO of Hatzolah of Central Jersey. “We are deeply grateful to Assemblyman Schnall for championing this critical funding, which will allow us to expand our existing services within Howell and ensure that residents receive the fastest, most professional emergency medical care possible.”
Assemblyman Schnall stressed the importance of ensuring that all residents have timely access to emergency medical services.
“Hatzolah of Central Jersey is a vital organization with a track record of saving lives and serving the public with compassion,” Schnall said. “This new ambulance will be available to assist all Howell residents whenever they need it. Having a fully equipped Hatzolah ambulance stationed in Howell is absolutely critical to protecting the health and well-being of everyone in our district.”
“I want to thank everyone who helped get this across the finish line, including Senator Bob Singer, whose support for this budget allocation was deeply helpful and greatly appreciated,” Schnall added.
