Apple Maps gains a new Visited Places feature that securely logs locations users have been to, and offers more predictive routing based on daily routines. These routes include real-time alerts about traffic and delays, all powered by on-device intelligence and protected by end-to-end encryption.
In Wallet, users can now pay in installments or with rewards directly through Apple Pay. Refreshed boarding passes offer real-time Live Activities for flight updates and link to helpful apps like Maps and Find My. Travelers now have everything they need—from gate info to luggage tracking—within easy reach.
A new Apple Games app serves as a central hub for players to track their favorite titles, discover new games, and stay updated on events and challenges. It also enhances access to Apple Arcade’s extensive game catalog.
AirPods receive notable improvements with voice isolation, high-quality audio recording, and even camera remote capabilities activated by tapping and holding the stem. Child Accounts receive expanded parental controls and communication safety features, including sensitive content filters and app approval mechanisms.
Safari enhances user privacy with more robust fingerprinting protection, and accessibility features expand with the introduction of Accessibility Reader and Braille Access. iOS 26 is available now to developers, with a public beta arriving next month. The official release is scheduled for this fall as a free software update for iPhone 11 and newer.
