SpaceX Lines Up $40 Billion In AI Equipment Financing

SpaceX has signed a binding commitment for an Apollo-managed entity to buy AI chips and related data-center equipment and lease them to the company. Principal payments are expected to total about $40 billion, before interest and other expenses. The final lease still depends on closing conditions and is expected to be signed before year-end, with equipment deliveries and leases starting in the first half of 2027.
