Met Council Opens New $25 Million Kosher Food Warehouse In Brooklyn

Met Council opened a new $25 million warehouse and conference center in Canarsie, Brooklyn on Monday, according to VINnews.

The 22,000-square-foot facility is set to serve as the central hub for its network of 344 food pantry partners. It adds expanded cold storage for chicken, fish, eggs, produce and dairy, plus an on-site digital pantry for Canarsie residents.

The organization says it distributed more than 20 million pounds of food in the last fiscal year.
