A senior member of Hamas’ security apparatus has revealed that the organization is nearing total collapse in the Gaza Strip, acknowledging that it has lost control over 80% of the territory and that 95% of its leadership has been eliminated. This candid admission follows months of intense Israeli military operations targeting Hamas’ political, military, and security infrastructure.
In a recent interview, the official painted a stark picture of the current situation on the ground, stating, “Let’s be realistic — there’s hardly anything left of the security structure.” According to him, nearly all active leaders have been killed, and what remains of the group is struggling to maintain relevance amid the chaos.
The power vacuum left behind by Hamas’ retreat has reportedly been filled by armed clans and criminal gangs, exacerbating the region’s instability. The official acknowledged that the collapse of order is becoming more evident as social cohesion unravels and local governance structures vanish.
When asked what is preventing Israel from continuing its campaign to total victory, the official responded, “Logically, it should continue to the end. All the conditions are favorable: Israel has the upper hand, the world is silent, the Arab regimes are silent, crime gangs are everywhere, society is collapsing.”
This statement aligns with recent reports from the Israel Defense Forces, which announced that they now hold operational control over 65% of Gaza.
