CHEMED Health Center marked a major milestone with the ribbon-cutting of its new specialty-care facility at 275 S. Hope Chapel Road in Jackson. The new site is set to expand access to specialty medical services for residents throughout Ocean County and nearby areas.
U.S. Congressman Chris Smith attended the event as Guest of Honor, joining CHEMED leadership, elected officials, and community partners in celebrating the opening. “CHEMED’s new Jackson center is a powerful example of the vision and leadership behind community-based healthcare,” Congressman Smith said. “This kind of growth doesn’t happen by accident—it’s driven by a dedicated team meeting real community needs and helping people live healthier lives.”
Several officials joined the ceremony, including New Jersey State Senator Robert Singer, Ocean County Commissioner Ginny Haines, Lakewood Township Committeemen Isaac Ackerman and Meir Lichtenstein, Committeewoman Deborah Fuentes, and Damon Koslow from the New Jersey Department of Health. Representatives from NJFamilyCare and local nonprofit organizations also took part.
The new facility will focus on specialty services such as cardiology, gastroenterology, and dermatology. Patients will also be able to connect with CHEMED’s primary-care providers, lab services, and case managers for coordinated care.
“This new building represents far more than bricks and mortar,” said Dr. Dovid Friedman, CEO of CHEMED Health Center. “It reflects our commitment to making high-quality care available where it’s most needed. Our staff worked hard to make this a reality, and we’re proud to continue building stronger healthcare access for the community.”
CHEMED, founded in 2009, is New Jersey’s largest Federally Qualified Health Center. In 2024, it served over 90,000 patients with more than 330,000 visits. Those numbers are expected to grow in 2025 with the opening of the Jackson location.
